The Louisiana Elite Soccer Program U19 boys are back in action this Saturday as they take on Xavier University of Louisiana (XULA) in a preseason scrimmage at Burbank Soccer Park, Field #4, kickoff at 1:00 PM.
After an undefeated start to preseason, including wins over Southern States, HTX sides, and top local competition, the boys are ready for a true test. Facing off against a college program like Xavier will give the squad a valuable challenge as they gear up for the grind of the MLS Next Academy season.
This U19 group, led by Denham Springs High School Head Coach Sean LeBlanc, combines returning standouts with new talent. The roster includes:
- Six returners from last season’s LA TDP Elite team
- Sutton Williams, back home after two seasons with Sporting Kansas City Academy
- Several players with MLS Next experience
- And some of the top U19 talent in the Baton Rouge region
With league play in the Pioneer Conference fast approaching, every minute counts. Saturday’s scrimmage will be a big step in sharpening the team before their official opener at home on September 20 vs. Ozark United FC.
If you want to get a look at some of Baton Rouge’s best, you are invited to join us this Saturday as the the U19s test themselves against XULA.
