What is the Louisiana Elite Soccer Program?

The Louisiana Elite Soccer Program is designed for players from U13 to U19, comprising top talent from around the region. The program aims to assemble elite players from within and beyond Louisiana to provide greater exposure to higher-level training and playing opportunities, enhancing prospects for identification. Players from any club, in-state or out-of-state, are welcome to attend tryouts.​


We also develop the future girls interested in the program (ages U10-U12) during the winter break with a Pre-Girls Academy Program.

What is the Girls Academy (GA)?

The Girls Academy is the platform that provides Louisiana players with the same opportunities as those across the country. It is the leading youth development platform for the best female soccer players in the United States. We are the only national youth soccer platform that represents the collective vision of member clubs and actively engages the voice of the players to take real ownership of the league. We embrace the desire of club members and players to maintain an unrivaled standard of excellence in coaching, competition, and regional and national showcase events throughout the year.​

Which age groups will be participating in the Louisiana Elite Soccer Program?

U13, U14, U15, U16, U17, U18/U19​

What are the plans for the GA Teams?

The Louisiana Elite Soccer Program Girls teams (U13 - U19) will compete in the GA Frontier conference. This league allows elite players in the state to compete against top players and teams in the region and country. It also affords players a greater prospect for identification among college coaches, youth national teams, and professional scouts at the highest levels of play.​ Teams will also participate in select tournament and showcase events.

Who is eligible to try out?

Tryouts for the Louisiana Elite Soccer Program are open to girls in U13 to U19. Open tryouts will be held to provide greater access to this program for all elite players in and out of state and around the region.​

Where do I register for tryouts?

Tryout details can be found on our website and on brsoccer.org. You can contact us if you are interested in an evaluation during the season.

Will players still be able to play up age groups?

Players playing up will be determined on a case-by-case basis. We encourage all players to register for their age-appropriate group, after which we will determine the best options for each player. Some options for female players include: playing on age-appropriate teams, playing up a year, playing up two years, playing up three years, training flexibility within the Girls Academy, and training opportunities with MLS NEXT boys.​

When will players be notified of acceptance?

After the tryout process, players will be notified of their acceptance prior to regular club team invitations.​

How many players will there be per team?

Each team will consist of approximately 16-18 full-time roster players. Additional players may be invited to participate in a training program with GA teams.​

How often will teams train?

Teams will train a minimum of three times per week. Additional training sessions may be scheduled as needed.​

Where will training take place?

Teams will train at Our Lady of the Lake Fields at Burbank Soccer Park in Baton Rouge, LA.

What is the cost to participate in the Louisiana Elite Soccer Program?

Program fees will be communicated during the tryout process. Financial assistance may be available for those who qualify.​

Will there be opportunities for college exposure?

Yes, participation in the Girls Academy provides significant exposure to college coaches through league play and showcase events.​ The GA Showcase events feature hundreds of college coaches and scouts. We regularly see a significant number of coaches at each of our showcase matches.

Is travel required for the program?

Yes, teams will travel for league games, showcases, and tournaments. Travel schedules will be provided in advance to allow for planning.​

Will there be opportunities for college exposure?

How does participation in the Louisiana Elite Soccer Program affect high school soccer eligibility?

High school eligibility is not impacted for players participating in our Girls Academy Program. The younger teams will often train through the winter break (at least once a week). We often build in a break following the High School season to allow the players to rest and recover before returning to full participation in the spring.
